Vitamin E and Selenium
🧪 Composition
E-Vet Plus comes in two forms: injection and liquid.
- E-Vet Plus Injection: Each ml contains 50 mg of Vitamin E
and 0.5 mg of Sodium Selenite.
- E-Vet Plus Liquid: Each ml contains 100 mg of Vitamin E
(as Vitamin E Acetate USP) and 0.5 mg of Sodium Selenite BP.
🔬 Pharmacology
Vitamin E, a fat-soluble intracellular antioxidant, plays a
pivotal role in stabilizing unsaturated fatty acids. Its primary function is to
prevent the formation of toxic free radicals and the oxidation of unsaturated
fatty acids in the animal's body. These free radicals can be particularly
harmful during periods of disease or stress.
Selenium, on the other hand, is a vital component of the
enzyme glutathione peroxidase. This enzyme is essential for protecting cells by
neutralizing oxidizing agents such as free radicals and oxidized unsaturated
fatty acids.

Indication
E-Vet Plus offers a wide range of indications for both
livestock and poultry:
Livestock:
- Prevention and treatment of Vitamin E and Selenium
deficiency diseases, including muscular dystrophy, encephalomalacia, and
exudative diathesis.
- Supportive therapy for poor immunity, muscle stiffness,
weakness, lameness, infertility, retained placenta, and mastitis.
Poultry:
- Prevention and treatment of Vitamin E and Selenium
deficiency diseases, including muscular dystrophy and encephalomalacia (Crazy chick
disease).
- Supportive therapy for poor immunity, stress, poor egg
production, hatchability, and ascites.
💊 Dosage &
Administration
Administering E-Vet Plus correctly is crucial for its
effectiveness:
E-Vet Plus Injection:
- Route of administration: IM/SC injection.
- For Cattle, Calf, Sheep & Goat: 2 ml per 10 kg body
weight, with a repeat after 2-3 weeks.
- For Dog & Pig: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight, with a
repeat after 2-3 weeks.
E-Vet Plus Liquid:
- Only for use in animal/poultry feed.
- Poultry:
- Prevention: 1 ml
per 4 liters of drinking water for 5-10 days.
- Treatment: 1 ml
per 2 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
- Livestock: 1-2 ml per 10 kg body weight for 5-10 days.
- Follow the guidance of a registered Veterinary physician
for precise dosage.
🚫Contraindication
E-Vet Plus should not be used in animals that are
hypersensitive to Vitamin E and/or Selenium.
⚠️ Warning & Precaution
- Medicated drinking water should be replaced every 24 hours
to maintain effectiveness.
- While E-Vet Plus is generally safe to use during
pregnancy, lactation, and laying, it's essential to evaluate the risk and
necessity of administration in these situations.
💊 Drug Interaction
As of now, there are no known interactions of E-Vet Plus
with other medicines or food.
💉 Overdose
In the event of an overdose, no specific antidote has been
determined. However, if allergic reactions occur, it is advisable to administer
antihistamines or injectable calcium products.
🐾 Withdrawal Time
E-Vet Plus has a zero-day withdrawal time for meat, milk,
and eggs, ensuring the safety of animal-derived products.

Store it below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light.
