Each Fast-Vet Bolus contains Paracetamol BP 2 g, ensuring swift relief from pain and fever in animals. Additionally, the Water Soluble Powder (WSP) formulation packs 500 mg Paracetamol BP per gram, making it ideal for poultry's oral administration. 🍃

💊 Pharmacology 💊

Fast-Vet (Paracetamol) acts as an efficient analgesic and antipyretic agent by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. It does so by blocking the activity of cyclooxygenase enzyme (COX-1, COX-2), effectively reducing fever and alleviating pain signals to the brain. 🌡🚫

🩺 Indications 🩺

Fast-Vet Bolus is an excellent remedy for a variety of conditions in animals, including:

🐮 Livestock:

- Pain from trauma and intestinal inflammation

- Post-partum pain

- Post-operative pain

- Post-vaccination pain

- Toothache

- Muscleache

- Arthritis

- Fever

🐔 Poultry:

- Pain

- Fever (associated with vaccination, debacking, injuries, etc.)

📋 Dosage and Administration 📋

For both the Bolus and WSP formulations, oral administration is the way to go. Here's the recommended dosage:

🐄 Cattle (Bolus):

- 1 bolus/130-140 kg body weight (15mg/kg body weight)

- Three times daily

🐔 Poultry (Bolus):

- 1 bolus/10 L drinking water

- Three times daily for 2-3 days

🐔 Poultry (WSP):

- 1 g/2-3 L drinking water

- Two to three times daily for 2-3 days

🐄 Cattle (WSP):

- 4 g/130-140 kg body weight (15mg/kg body weight)

- Three times daily

Contraindications

Fast-Vet Bolus is not suitable for animals with:

- Possibility of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding

- Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol

- Impaired renal and hepatic function

💊 Side Effects 💊

Mild side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, methemoglobinemia, and liver damage (jaundice). However, rare side effects are not known.

🐾 Safe in Pregnancy and Lactation 🐾

Fast-Vet is safe to administer during all stages of pregnancy and lactation. However, it's essential to consider risks and necessities before use.

💊 Drug Interaction 💊

Avoid administering Fast-Vet with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and nephrotoxic drugs. No interactions were found with feed.

Severe paracetamol poisoning may lead to methemoglobinemia, cyanosis, anemia, and jaundice.
